Today BBB posted about lots of lovely drama in guild-land. In the comments I suggested that the mage in question was a ninja because they have the Commendation of Kael’Thas equipped. That was wrong of me. They may have been a meathead but that is not nearly the same as being a ninja. So….
I apologize to Vulc (now Hatred) for suggesting you are a ninja.
I apologize to BBB for posting such thoughtless comments.
I apologize to anyone that may be upset over my comment.
/mea culpa

Good morning Outland!
Last week Colonel BBB (the S-3 of SidheDevils) sent me on a convert mission in Shadowmoon Valley. There I was to make contact with the local resistance and aid them in any way necessary. The mission was to undermine the Illidan regime.
The locals were very suspicious of me so I spent a lot of time proving myself.
First I was sent to protect a farmer’s herd of Fel Boars from the local fauna. Turns out they were a tribe of Flayers, controlled by a brood matriarch. She is a cast-iron b|tch you don’t want to cross without air support or naval gunfire.

After destroying ten of her eggs, The “Farmer” reveals he was once a lieutenant of Illidan and that his three sons are tracking down the three fragments of the Cipher of Damnation.
Grom’tor, a warrior, was last known to be near Coilskar Point. He had managed to capture a local commander who revealed I needed to obtain a key from one of the security patrols and unlock a chest. He didn’t know which patrols carried the key or which chest the fragment was in.

I used every bit of field craft to avoid detection while infiltrating the camp and after three swift kills retrieved the key.

Then I set Faerie Fire to a guard in a shack who was guarding the chest so after four kills and a bit of luck I had the first fragment.

The “Farmer” gave me a new set of dogtags after I reported back to him on the successful raid on Coilskar.
Damn! There goes the klaxon…. gotta run!

There’s a really neat chain in Shadowmoon Valley that culminates in taking control of a Fel Reaver and running amok — It’s called The Fel and The Furious. Although it would be a bit imbalanced, I’d like an AoE attack like world breaker… maybe on a 3 day cooldown to keep it sort of fair.

It is also possible to run off the edge of the world and NOT die…

Note To Self:
When clearing WC, bear-form agro the entire cave, pop barkskin and cast a down-ranked hurricane. That way your party mates won’t have to log out with their gear in tatters.

Last week I gots a bad case of the wanderlust after reading about a guild looking for people. The requested traits and attitudes could all be expressed in one line: “Must have the RL Trinket equipped.” The RL Trinket is created by an adventurer when that adventurer realizes they can and should create it. Once created, a special third trinket slot becomes available and only the RL Trinket can be equipped there. It proc’s randomly.
So I hops on the backof a special dragon that one can only take but once a month; ’tis a one way trip and there’s no turning back. So I petitions the ancient gods of Blizzard to takes this trip and they says I’m an OK dwarf and we got room on this afternoon’s flight. So I pays me 25 gold and queue’s up to board. They said they were gonna charm sleep me so I’d not give away certain secrets so there’s about an hour of me life I doesn’t remember. But I wakes up in a new realm that looked a whole lot like the old one. I unfolds the advert what started this whole lark and starts looking around Ironforge for the adventuring shop what done put out the advert. I were in luck ’cause the co-big-bear were right near there. So I doff’s me hat and, while kickin’ and twirlin’ me toe in the dirt, shows Ms Cassie me trinket and asks her iffin it might be OK to hang me hat with the Sidhe Devils. Well, she puts on her dazzlin’ human smile (no wonders they gets Diplomacy) and takes me in like a long lost wayward brother.
I nevers been happier.

Ursus:
September, 2006 - April 18, 2008

I has meself three (wait, HAD) three pets. The former Bhag’thera of Stranglethorn Vale and the former Rak’Shiri of Winterspring and me very first pet, the one I tamed in my 10th season, was Ursus, the Ice Claw Bear. We ran hither and yon, killin’ and dodgin’ an’ trappin an’ all the sorts of stuff that happens in the eternal summer of one’s youth. We was stuck together like stink on a murloc until that slinky black matron of the Jungle, Bhag’Thera, entered the scene. I put Ursus in the stable telling meself ‘One day I’ll come back for ye, I will.’ But after a wakeup call I knew it was time to release me first pet back into the wild.
At first it were difficult.

But we left for the release zone through the Shattrath City portals and arrived, largely unscathed.

There were many other Ice Claw bears in the area that looked most promising. A lovely she-bear wandered right in front of us and gave Ursus a look that Ratshag probably got from Ms. Proudmore.

Unfortunately, the first attempt at releasin’ ‘im was interrupted by the same she-bear. Seems she was all excited and ran up to play but Ursus, the big dummy, weren’t looking and thought she were attacking me…

… and he fugghed up big time.

I suppose he should have been on group-setting passive instead of farming-mode defensive (/headsmack). But, with nothing to be done after the tragic misunderstanding, we gathered up the ruined leather scraps and carried on.
The time had arrived and so the countdown began…

Farewell Ursus. Ye were a great friend.

…
…
…
Ok…. now where might the ravager beasties be?
